Heavy Equipment Operator
Under general supervision, operates heavy motorized vehicles and equipment to maintain and repair roads, right of way and bridges within the County. Work responsibilities extend to performing maintenance, repair and remodeling of County buildings and other structures.
Salary Range: $17.25 per hour
Minimum requirements for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in heavy motorized vehicle/equipment operations or any equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Possession of a valid State of Minnesota Class A commercial driver's license with endorsements is required.

Under general supervision, performs and assists with technical engineering work involving surveying, design and inspection of all county roads and bridges. The Engineering Aide is responsible for assisting the Engineering Department, but operates with less independence and is often in an assisting and learning mode. Duties to include, but are not limited to, performing engineering work in office; assisting in construction inspections and field surveys; conducting tests.
Salary Range: $18.12 per hour
High school diploma or equivalent required. Two-year degree in Civil Technology or equivalent and/or five years of experience in civil engineering operations or an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience preferred but not required. Candidates must have or have the ability to obtain current State certifications in Bridge Safety Inspection; Bridge Construction; Level I & II Grading and Base; Level I & II Bituminous Street; Bituminous QM, Level I; Level I & II Concrete Field; Level I Concrete Plant; Level I & II Pre-Stressed Concrete; Level I Aggregate Production and MPCA Storm Waster Construction Installer. Possession of a valid State of Minnesota Class B, CDL or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
