Jailer/Dispatcher
Status: Part-Time
Job Description:
This position will provide dispatch services for all law enforcement and medical emergencies within the County. Work responsibilities extend to the intake processing and oversight of prisoners within the County Jail.
Salary Range: $18.53 per hour
Required Qualifications:
Minimum requirement for this position includes a high school diploma or equivalent.

Planning & Zoning Technician
Status: Full-Time
Job Description:
This position will be a Cottonwood County employee but will work jointly and in cooperation with the Cottonwood County Soil & Water Conservation District to provide environmental services as needed or required by Minnesota statutes or federal law. Responsibilities include overseeing the County's Planning and Zoning activities; the County's Buffer Law Enforcement; administration of the County's Aquatic Invasive Species Program; and the County's Feedlot Program. Assists with the County's Subsurface Sewage Treatment Systems Program (SSTS) according to MPCA rules and regulations. This person will also serve as the County Agricultural Inspector and participate in the administration of the Food, Beverage and Lodging Program.
Salary Range: $21.88 per hour
Required Qualifications:
Minimum requirements for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in natural sciences, environmental planning or any other closely related field; or any equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience beyond high school in a closely related field for 4 years. Must be willing to achieve, after hiring, various state certifications as required by law to fulfill the duties of the job such as MPCA SSTS Designer/Inspector license within a reasonable period of time.
