Cottonwood County Parks are committed to providing a clean, safe, and relaxing atmosphere for all the campers and guests. Our goal is to offer a high quality facility, and to avoid any conflicts, problems, misunderstandings, and unsafe conditions so that everyone is treated fairly and equally. All campers shall enjoy the use of all common facilities; please pay proper attention to other campers and guests.
Campers are required to check in at the entry station upon arrival.
Campsite check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 2:00 PM.
To receive a refund, cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance of scheduled date of arrival.
A parent or guardian must accompany persons under the age of 18.
All vehicles in Talcot Lake County Park must visibly display a current Cottonwood County Park Parking Pass at all times. Seasonal Parking passes will be displayed in the lower right windshield or the right side window. Daily Parking passes will be displayed from the rear view mirror. The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Department will continue to patrol the park and all vehicles not displaying a parking pass will be asked to leave.
Campsites will be provided with: water, electricity, and parking space for not more than two vehicles. Please park extra vehicles in the parking lot. One camper is allowed per site and One tent is allowed per campsite.
Grey water shall not be discharged on the ground from any camper.
Pets are allowed but must be on a leash, kept quiet, and you must clean up after them. We will not tolerate dogs running loose. If this rule is not followed and an offense occurs, the campers will be told to remove the pet from the park permanently.
Campfires shall be in the designated burning areas only. Do not move the fire pits or burn in the grass. A $5 fee may be charged for garbage left in fire pits.
The use of firearms is prohibited in Talcot County Park.
The County Park does not have a lifeguard on duty. Therefore, an adult must be present at all times when children are swimming. No motorized watercraft is allowed in the swimming area. Please leave the beach area clean for others to use and enjoy.
The fish cleaning facility is there for your use. Please clean up when you are done and place fish remains in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer provided for you in the fish cleaning facility to eliminate problems with rodents and odors caused by warm weather.
Please put all food type garbage in a plastic bag and tie shut before you put it in the dumpster to reduce the rodent activity and smell.
All campers are responsible for insuring their camper and personal property. The County Park is not responsible for any loss, property damage or injury incurred on County Park property or damage due to normal park grounds maintenance.
No person shall intentionally perform any offensive, noisy, disagreeable, or lewd act on County Park property. You also may not operate a vehicle in any manner that interferes with others enjoyment of the Park. The speed limit is 5 mph!
No person shall intentionally mark, deface, disfigure, injure, or tamper with anyone’s personal property or park property. You may not remove any building, table, fireplace, sign, fence, tree, shrub, flower, or any other structure, equipment, facility belonging to the park.
You may not alter the landscape or plant anything in the ground on park property. No permanent structures can be erected on any site. Decks must be portable and on top of the ground.
Fireworks of any kind are not allowed in the park.
Do not be disruptive to your fellow campers. Quiet time is 11:00 pm to 7:00 am and should be observed by all campers. Visitors must leave the campground by 11:00 pm.
No ATV’s or golf carts are allowed in Talcot County Park. Exception: Written proof of disability provided to the Parks Office prior to usage.
